Agnipath Scheme is introduced by the Government of India on June 14, 2022. Agnipath scheme is a topic of discussion in the country nowadays, which is related to the future of the youth. Agnipath is a scheme of the Government of India, through which youth will be recruited into the army for four years.
Many questions are being raised among the youth regarding this scheme, on one hand, a large section of the public is opposing this scheme, due to which there is a widespread demonstration in some parts of the country, and on the other hand the government has counted the benefits of this scheme. It has been because the government has also given many facilities to those who are recruited into the army through this scheme.
WHO IS AGNIVEER?
This scheme includes the recruitment process for persons below the rank of officers. Under this scheme, 75% of the jawans will be recruited for only four years, those recruited under the scheme will be called Agniveer, and only 25% of the soldiers will be kept in service for the next 15 years.
WHO CAN APPLY?
This scheme is open to all Indians. Men and women between the ages of 17.5 and 21 will be recruited. Agniveer will be able to apply for the regular cadre on his own after four years. Up to 25% of that batch will be chosen based on merit and organizational requirements. The Indian Air Force will issue additional educational qualifications and physical standards. Agniveers have to fulfill all medical eligibility conditions to apply to the Indian Air Force.
AGNEEVEER SALARY STRUCTURE
1. Agniveer salary first year
The soldiers will be given 30,000 salaries every month in the first year of service. 9000 rupees will be deducted from the salary every month for the service fund. Agneeveers will get 21000 rupees in hand salary every month.
2. Agniveer salary second year
The salary of soldiers will be increased by 10% in the second year. In the second year, Agniveer will get a salary of Rs 33000 and Rs 9000 will be deducted from the service fund.
3. Agniveer salary second year
In the third year of service, the salary of the soldiers will be 36,500, and Rs 10,500 will be deducted from the service fund.
4. Agniveer salary second year
In the 4th year of service, the salary of the soldiers will be 40,000, and Rs 12,000 will be deducted for the service fund.
WHAT FACILITIES WILL AGNIVEER GET?
- Agniveers will be given hardship allowance, uniform allowance, travel allowance, canteen and medical facility along with monthly salary. They will get the same facilities as a regular Air Force soldier.
- They will get 30 days leave in a year and they will be given medical leave separately.
- If Agniveer dies during service, then an insurance cover will be given, under which financial assistance of about 1 crore will be given to his family.
- Agniveers will get a salary of 30-40 thousand rupees per month.
- In case of disability in the line of duty, ex-gratia will get Rs 44 lakh.
- Agniveers will have total insurance of 48 lakhs.
