Air Force Academy Dundigal

AFA hosted the Combined Graduation Parade, where 213 Flight Cadets from several Air Force branches—including 25 women—saw their training come to an end. Alongside also passed out were two Indian friends, nine Indian Coast Guard personnel, and eight Indian Navy officers.

Air Force Academy Dundigal The Defence Minister, Rajnath Singh, reviewed the parade and gave the newly commissioned officers their shoulder stripes, signifying their rank as Flyting Officers. He also pinned wings and brevets on the chests of the Flying Branch members.

Flying Officer Mewa Singh was one of them; Air Force Academy Dundigal  he is “fulfilling a dream and following his family legacy.” a first-generation officer from his hometown near Bathinda in Punjab, and the third generation of soldiers in his family. Both his uncle and grandfather were veterans of the Indian Army and the Second World War, respectively.

Flying Officer Atul Prakash of the Flying branch was named the top cadet overall and received the President’s Plaque and Chief of the Air Staff Sword of Honour for placing first in the Pilots Course merit ranking. Atul is a native of Jind, Haryana, and a graduate of the Military School, Belagavi. This second generation officer proved his mettle by accepting difficult jobs and duties, carrying on the brave family legacy. His fellow students praised him for being “a born leader full of courage and conviction” and for exceeding training requirements.

The President’s Plaque went to Flying Officer Amrinder Jit Singh of the Accounts Branch in recognition of his overall dominance among the Ground Duty branches. Flying Officer Amrinder Jit Singh of Punjab has had a difficult time adjusting to life in the Blues. He went from being an airman for 16 years to being the top performer among his contemporaries who were considerably younger than him. At the age of 36, he has demonstrated that an individual’s vision is driven by their will and ambition, rather than their age.

It has taken “patience and perseverance” for Flying Officer Lata Kaushik, who became the first commissioned Air Force officer from her hometown near Jhajjar in Haryana. She had previously failed to secure the coveted slot on the merit list, but on January 23, she stepped into the Air Force Academy with a vengeance, earning the 2nd all-India rank and fulfilling her dream at last.

Flying Officer Tanya Singh was named the best in Navigation, and Flying Officer Ryan Henriques was awarded the “Best in Flying” prize. The best in the administration branch was determined to be Flying Officer Shubham Sharma, and the finest in the logistics department to be Flying Officer Ashish Kumar.
