Indian Army NCC Special Entry Recruitment 2026 Vacancy Details

According to the official notification, the Indian Army has announced 70 vacancies under the NCC Special Entry Scheme 125th Course. Out of these, 63 vacancies are available for General NCC candidates possessing a valid NCC ‘C’ Certificate, while 7 vacancies are reserved for Wards of Battle Casualties of Indian Army Personnel.

This recruitment provides an excellent opportunity for NCC cadets who wish to join the Indian Army as commissioned officers without appearing for the Combined Defence Services (CDS) Examination. Selection will be based on shortlisting, SSB Interview, medical examination, and merit.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for Indian Army NCC Special Entry Recruitment 2026 must fulfill the eligibility conditions prescribed in the official notification. Applicants should carefully verify their educational qualification, age limit, nationality, and NCC requirements before applying.

Educational Qualification

Applicants should have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized university.

  • Minimum ‘B’ Grade in the NCC ‘C’ Certificate Examination.

  • Minimum required service in the Senior Division/Senior Wing of NCC.

  • Final-year students are also eligible, subject to the conditions mentioned in the official notification.

NCC Requirement

Candidates must possess a valid NCC ‘C’ Certificate with at least ‘B’ Grade. However, candidates applying under the Wards of Battle Casualties category are exempted from the NCC Certificate requirement as per the official notification.

Age Limit

Candidates applying for Indian Army NCC Special Entry Recruitment 2026 should satisfy the prescribed age criteria.

  • Minimum Age: 19 Years

  • Maximum Age: 25 Years

Applicants should have been born between 02 January 2002 and 01 January 2008 (both dates inclusive) as specified in the notification.

Salary

Candidates selected under Indian Army NCC Special Entry Recruitment 2026 will receive an attractive salary package as per the Defence Pay Matrix after successful commissioning.

During the training period at Officers Training Academy (OTA), Chennai, selected cadets will receive a monthly stipend of ₹56,100. After commissioning as Lieutenant, officers will receive salary under Level-10 of the 7th CPC Pay Matrix along with Military Service Pay and other admissible allowances.
